Energy Saving Kitemark is the BSI Kitemark scheme for Window Energy Rating (WER), based on the approved document L1B of the Building Regulations which came into force in October 2010. This stipulates that all replacement windows must have a Window Energy Rating (WER) of at least band C or a declared U value of 1.6 W/m2K. In order to comply with the installation requirements for replacement windows fabricators must provide evidence of energy efficiency. The Kitemark scheme for Window Energy Rating provides a quality assured process and supporting audit trail from simulation of the WER through to installation and is therefore accepted by Building Control Bodies. |

Energy Saving Trust is an organisation setup to address the damaging effects of climate change. Windows that achieve an Energy Kitemark Rating of B or above can be certified under the energy saving trusts recommended scheme. The Energy Saving Trust Logo assures customers that the products in question are Energy Efficient and that they have met set criteria for Energy Efficiency. |

Secured by Design is a Police initiative that encourages the building industry to adopt crime prevention measures to assist in reducing the opportunity for crime. It is the title for a family of national police projects involving the design for new homes, refurbished homes, commercial premises, car parks and other police crime prevention projects. Through this initiative our Casement, Tilt & Turn, fully Reversible, Fixed, Multilight Fixed or opening Windows, as well as our PVCu Residential, GRP Composite and Timber Doorsets, have passed stringent standards tests that meet "Police Preferred Specification". |
