ISO 9001 For Manufacture and Installation has been awarded to Sidey for the Manufacture and Installation of Windows, Doors and Conservatories which is the national standard for quality systems. This demonstrates to our customers that we are committed to high quality and that we have been assessed accordingly.

ISO 14001 has been awarded to Sidey for the Manufacture and Installation of Windows, Doors and Conservatories and the supply of Kitchens and Bathrooms. It is the national standard for environmental systems which demonstrates to our customers that we are committed to reducing our impact on the environment and we have been assessed accordingly.

OHSAS 18001 For Health & Safety. This accreditation shows Sidey's commitment and dedication towards health & Safety throughout all of its operations.

BS 8213-4 Code of practice for the survey and installation of new/replacement Windows and Doorsets. The key features of this scheme that companies are assessed on include Design, Survey, Installation Practice, Staff Training, Property Care, Building Regulation Compliance, Material Quality and inspection.

BS 7412/PAS 24 is the British Standard product specification for the fabrication of PVCu Windows. Security and manufacturing process tests are included, as well as subjecting the windows to high velocity air and water jets to test weather proofing. (BS7950 has been incorporated into this)

BS 7412/PAS 24 is the enhanced security performance requirements for door assemblies. They are subjected to manual intervention, mechanical loading and hard and soft body impact tests. All approved doors include all the Secured by Design standards. (PAS 23 has been incorporated into this).

Energy Saving Kitemark is the BSI Kitemark scheme for Window Energy Rating (WER), based on the approved document L1B of the Building Regulations which came into force in October 2010. This stipulates that all replacement windows must have a Window Energy Rating (WER) of at least band C or a declared U value of 1.6 W/m2K. In order to comply with the installation requirements for replacement windows fabricators must provide evidence of energy efficiency. The Kitemark scheme for Window Energy Rating provides a quality assured process and supporting audit trail from simulation of the WER through to installation and is therefore accepted by Building Control Bodies.

Energy Saving Trust is an organisation setup to address the damaging effects of climate change. Windows that achieve an Energy Kitemark Rating of B or above can be certified under the energy saving trusts recommended scheme. The Energy Saving Trust Logo assures customers that the products in question are Energy Efficient and that they have met set criteria for Energy Efficiency.

BS 8529/PAS 24 is a general performance requirement for composite door assemblies. They are subjected to a series of 18 tests including wind and water tightness, hard and soft body and a cycle test. All approved doors include all the Secured by Design standards.

Secured by Design is a Police initiative that encourages the building industry to adopt crime prevention measures to assist in reducing the opportunity for crime. It is the title for a family of national police projects involving the design for new homes, refurbished homes, commercial premises, car parks and other police crime prevention projects. Through this initiative our Casement, Tilt & Turn, fully Reversible, Fixed, Multilight Fixed or opening Windows, as well as our PVCu Residential, GRP Composite and Timber Doorsets, have passed stringent standards tests that meet "Police Preferred Specification".

REAL The REAL assurance Scheme is part of the Office of Fair trading (OFT) self-regulation Consumer Code Approval Scheme. MSC Cetified installers must belong to an OFT backed Code. This has been set up to protect customers from illegal selling techniques and shoddy workmanship.

MCS MCS itself is an EN45011 Scheme which is focused on ensuring the quality of renewable technology installations and products. It has been developed over the last year and is an industry led and funded scheme.

Constructionline Registered - 57253 is the UK's register of pre-qualified local and national construction and construction-related contractors and consultants. Owned and endorsed by the DTI, Constructionline is a contributor to the Rethinking Construction Initiative.

UKTFA Accredited Members Standard is a Quality Mark from the UK Timber Frame Association. The Members Standard offers a benchmark for suppliers, manufacturers, designers and erectors that provides sufficient confidence in their companies and products for them to be specified in the UK.

Investors In People is the national standard which sets out a level of good practice for training and development of people to achieve business goals.

CHAS Accredited Contractor. Sidey Ltd is accredited within the contractors health & safety scheme (CHAS) having demonstrated compliance with and sound management of current health & safety legislation.

NHBC Safemark Scheme. Sidey successfully demonstrated the required level of competence and is accredited to the NHBC Health & Safety competence Assessment Scheme (Safemark) for contractors.

FENSA Registered. Registration with FENSA confirms our commitment to meeting new building and energy efficiency regulations. For consumers, the FENSA scheme will provide a certificate confirming that their windows comply with the new regulations.

LHC Appointed Company. LHC is a Provider of Public Sector Framework Arrangements. It sets up procurement framework arrangements for LHC members and any other public sector organisation wishing to improve efficiency without compromising on quality.

SFHA Associate Member. The SFHA is the national representative body for Scotland's housing associations and co-operatives.
