Special Treat for Lucky 1000th Tenant! February 2007

A lucky Perth & Kinross Council tenant today found herself the recipient of not only new windows and doors but also a luxurious hamper.

Carol Colville commented – “I am extremely happy with my new windows and doors and the overall service I received from Sidey. I was kept informed throughout the process, so I knew exactly what was happening at each stage.

“The care provided by the Tenant Liaison Officer was great and I could not be happier”.

The Partnership between Sidey and Perth & Kinross Council commenced on the 17th of April 2006 and will see 1300 council houses across Perth and Kinross benefiting from replacement windows and doors.

Rhod Hindmarch, Project Manager (Sidey) commented - "Once again the value of partnership projects has been displayed as this particular project is well on its way towards a successful conclusion, and we are achieving the targets set by the partnership for the installation programme and tenant satisfaction which is currently over 98%."

Perth & Kinross Council Housing Convener, Councillor Gordon Hunter, said: “This is a very practical example of partnership at all levels. It is based on trust and confidence. When the tenants decided to remain tenants of Perth & Kinross Council we made promises about improving their homes. We are now delivering on those promises and I am delighted we have reached this landmark.   “I would like to congratulate Sidey on the excellent work they have done. It is really significant that a local firm won this contract and they are doing a great job. I would also like to thank our tenants, who have worked together with us to move this scheme forward and make it happen.”
