David Gillan, a lecturer of Creative Industries Television Production
at Perth
College, was in charge of the shoot and commented: “While working on
this project the students covered a wide range of skills to create this
production, from camera, lighting and sound to editing and working with
clients. Most of all they gained real world experience which is valuable
to their training and careers -Sidey created a great opportunity for the
students.”
Ryan Dewar was one of the students involved in the production of the
video and said: “During our venture I furthered my team working skills
as well as camera operating experience on top of this. Also the
opportunity to work on location with external clients expanding my
networking base and my experience out on the job.”
The video is set to be used as a promotional tool by Sidey for a new
revolutionary product that has been exclusively developed by the
company.
Sidey’s Chairman Michael Dobson commented:
“The students from Perth College have made an excellent job of the video
and have given us exactly what we were looking for. We are delighted
that we may have contributed to the development of their skills and that
we were able to source some local expertise.”
