The open
day was held in January at the pavilion on Groats Road in Aberdeen. On
display were the new doors, kitchen units and shower units along with
sample boards showing the full range of flooring and aqua panels (shower
wall coverings).
Council
staff and representatives from Perth based company Sidey were available
throughout the day to speak with tenants and address any questions or
concerns they may have about the forthcoming work on their homes.
Janna
Harvey, Sidey’s Project Administration Manager commented – “ This was a
great opportunity for the tenants to not only see the quality of the
kitchen units, sanitary ware and shower enclosures for themselves but it
also gave us the opportunity to put their minds at rest about the
forthcoming work.
“We
received excellent feedback from the tenants and most seemed to be
extremely happy about their new kitchen and bathroom being fitted. A few
of the tenants that had previously decided not to go ahead with the work
changed their mind after seeing the products and discussing their
concerns.”
Work is due
to commence in Hazelhead at the end of February and is part a multi
million pound framework partnership for the modernisation of Kitchens
and Bathrooms.
