What is BSI ISO 9001 and how does this benefit me?

This helps Sidey continually monitor and manage quality across our business allowing us to identify areas for improvement. Internationally, it is the quality system of choice.

Sidey is audited by BSI every month to ensure we continue to offer the best quality and service in the manufacture and installation of windows and doors.

What is ISO 14001 and how does this benefit me?
ISO 14001 is the world’s most recognised Environmental Management System which helps improve the environmental performance of our business. This international environmental management certification covers all aspects of our business including the manufacturing and installation of all of our products and assists in making our day-to-day operations more sustainable.
BENEFIT: Sidey holds the latest 14001-2015 Environmental Management standard which considers multiple aspects of our business procurement, storage, distribution, product development, manufacture, installation etc. to reduce our impact on the environment. It also drives how we manage emergency response, customer expectations, stakeholders and our relationship with the local communities we work in. Sidey has developed a Total Waste Recycling Strategy in conjunction with this standard which allows us to recycle 100% of manufacturing waste and upwards of 95% on-site waste. Sidey offers this as added value assisting in lowering our customer’s carbon footprint with zero waste to landfills. We provide 100% recycling solutions and a fully traceable audit trail.
ISO 45001-2018 replaces the 18001 standard. It is for the manufacture & installation of windows, doors, conservatories using PVCu & Aluminium profile. CDM duties include activities as a contractor & designer and is the world’s first global health and safety management system supporting the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. This international occupational health and safety management system demonstrates Sidey’s commitment to ensuring decent work conditions, prevent work-related injury, provide safe and healthy workplaces for all, wellbeing and equality practices.
BS 8213- 4:2016 – Certificate Number KM 510500 The very latest standard for the survey and installation of Windows and Doors, encompassing the very latest design considerations and updated regulatory requirements including fire, thermal design and installation
What is ISO 8213-4 and how does this benefit me?
BS 8213- 4 is the internationally recognised code of conduct for survey and installation of non-loadbearing windows and external door sets of any material, to be installed vertically (within 15°) into the external face of buildings.
BENEFIT: Sidey hold the latest BS 8312-4:2016 certification with encompasses the very latest design considerations and updated regulatory requirements including fire, thermal design and installation. This standard is in line with the latest building regulations for Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland. All Sidey Surveyors and Installers undertake their work in line with this latest standard assuring our customers the survey and installation is carried out to the latest regulations and highest quality.
BS 7412:2007 / PAS 24:2016 – Certificate Number KM 54723 Window Security, Manufacturing process, Weather testing Door Security & Manufacturing process including ALL SBD standards Composite Door performance, including wind & water testing, including ALL SBD standards.
BS 7412:2007 / PAS 24:2016 – Certificate Number KM 547424 is the British Standard product specification for the fabrication of PVCu Windows. Security and manufacturing process tests are included, as well as subjecting the windows to high-velocity air and water jets to test weatherproofing.
BS 8529:2010 / PAS 24:2016 – Certificate Number KM 596843 is a general performance requirement for composite door assemblies. They are subjected to a series of 18 tests including wind and water tightness, hard and soft body and a cycle test. All approved doors include all the Secured by Design standards.

Secured by Design Licence Holders – Police initiative that encourages the building industry to adopt crime prevention measures to assist in reducing the opportunity for crime and creating safe places where people want to live.
NHBC Safemark Scheme – Demonstrates Sidey has the required level of competence and is accredited to the NHBC Health & Safety competence Assessment Scheme (Safemark) for contractors
CHAS – Sidey holds The Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme having demonstrated compliance with and sound management of current health & safety legislation.
SMAS Worksafe Accreditation as Principle Contractor and Contractor – This means Sidey has met the SSIP core criteria recognised by the HSE and other SSIP accreditation schemes. Meeting the SSIP Core Criteria demonstrates that we are serious about H&S and have (and use) an effective H&S Management System to ensure that any work they are engaged in is, so far as reasonably, practical, carried out without risk to health and safety.
