Diversification across Trade Sector
The much anticipated Consumer Protection Association survey which asked over 12,000 installers a series of questions on their business performance and expectations for the industry has been released and indicates that there is a growing demand from consumers for high-end quality products. These include items such as bi-folding doors, vertical sliders and coloured profile.
The report which was conducted by Insight Data highlights a current change in the Trade Market sector, with installers seeking premium products that offer unique selling opportunities which satisfy this current consumer demand.
A growing popularity amongst homeowners for conservatory replacement products is also on the rise, and all signs are pointing to the conservatory repair/replacement market being particularly lucrative in the coming years.
Sean Allan, Sidey’s Business Development Manager Manager commented – “The CPA report provides some extremely interesting findings from the Trade Market sector, especially the current demand from consumers for high-end products. In previous years consumer demand would lean towards ‘price’ and not necessarily ‘quality’ but, with consumer confidence and spending on the rise things are changing.
Many Trade window and door suppliers are trying to react to the current change and tackle new markets which may result in Trade installers being supplied with a ‘quick fix’ product. In our 80 year history Sidey has always had a dedication to quality and innovation which has led to us being a trusted supplier for trade professionals. We are in a position to supply our trade customers with the products and service that will ensure the diversification that consumers are looking for is easily met”.
