Product specification
Supply and installation of Sidey SolarthermPlus® casement windows in Grey, with a whole window u-value to meet 0.8W/m2K without the requirement for krypton gas filling of the
triple glazing. SolarthermPlus® delivered this performance without compromising on the sash opening sizes commonly affected by the 50% increase in glass weight due to triple
glazing. All glass was fully protected from scratches by Sidey’s unique Scratchguard™ glass protection system. Air tightness was achieved by using Sidey’s preferred air tightness membrane and closed cell expanding tape, giving airtightness performance down to 0m3/hr/m2@50pa. All of the windows were installed offsite in Innovares’ structural timber frame panels using Sidey’s unique KitFix® system. The completed panels were stacked and banded as normal, with the panels craned into place with incorporating the windows in under 3-minutes due to the unique sliding action of KitFix®.

Measured Benefit
By having the windows installed offsite using KitFix® the plots were secure from day one minimising the risk of theft and arson on the site minimising site delays and costs.
Structures were wind and watertight upon erection,no shipping of the windows to the island was required which resulted in a reduction in congestion and carbon footprint.
The clients requirements for an environmentally efficient scheme was easily met with Sidey’s energyefficient, triple glazed SolarthermPlus® windows.
